SCRIPTS · Starter PLAYBOOK
Home and kitchen is a utility category: US buyers respond to visible problems being solved, not lifestyle fantasy. The script below is medium intensity — demonstration-led, with the product introduced only after the problem has been felt. It assumes you can show the item working on camera, which in this category is non-negotiable.
HOOK (first 15 seconds): 'Tell me if this is your kitchen drawer right now.' Then hold up the messy-drawer shot — use a real, honestly messy drawer, not a staged immaculate one. The imperfection is the hook; a too-perfect setup reads as an ad and US viewers skip ads reflexively.
THE LOOP (rotate items every 4-5 minutes): 1) Name the problem in the buyer's own words: 'You know the thing where you can never find the one lid you need?' 2) Demo the fix on camera in under 40 seconds — real time, no cuts, because 'wait, let me actually time this' is your credibility. 3) Anchor against replacement cost: 'How many of these have you bought and thrown away? This is the last one.' 4) Bundle logic: 'It's $19 alone — but the two-pack is $29 and honestly the second one is for the drawer you pretended you didn't think about.'
