OPS · Pro PLAYBOOK
WHY MODERATION IS SALES INFRASTRUCTURE: the comment section is where live commerce's conversion actually happens publicly — questions become answers become orders, and the room watches every exchange as social proof. It is also where sessions are lost: unanswered product questions, hostile threads that metastasize, spam that buries real buyers, and off-topic spirals that drag the algorithm's engagement read sideways. This SOP assigns moderation as a role with rules, tools, and escalation paths — not as something the host does glancingly between demos. In a two-person room, moderation is the operator's first job; in solo rooms, it is the first thing to buy help for.
THE TRIAGE RULE (ANSWER IN THIS ORDER): (1) buying-intent questions first, always — 'does this fit wide feet?' outranks everything, because those comments are orders in progress and a two-minute delay is a lost order; (2) objections with audience ('isn't this cheaper on Amazon?' — answered on camera per the objection-flip tactic, because fifty lurkers share the doubt); (3) genuine product problems reported in comments ('mine arrived broken') — acknowledge, take it to support publicly and gracefully, because the handling is watched; (4) community warmth (greeting regulars by name — the regulars are your retention engine, and name-recognition is their dividend); (5) everything else in gaps. The rule the triage exists to enforce: never let comment volume push a buying question below the fold unanswered.
