The regulars system is a deliberate program for converting repeat viewers into a named, recognized community — because in live commerce, your real product is the room itself. A room where viewers know each other converts strangers: new joiners read a functioning community as social proof more convincingly than any sales line. Mature live-commerce markets call this the 'family room' effect, and it is the single strongest moat a small seller can build against bigger competitors with better prices.
Why it works: commitment and consistency. A viewer who has been recognized by name, whose presence has been acknowledged in front of others, has a small public identity in your room. Leaving costs that identity; returning builds it. Regulars also do your selling for you — they answer new viewers' questions, defend your pricing, and create the comment velocity that the algorithm reads as quality. Ten genuine regulars are worth more than a thousand passive viewers.
